Wholesome Chow is dedicated to offering 100% vegan products 100% of the time. Our products never require eggs or dairy in preparation, and never "egg replacers," either. Simply add: Non-Dairy Milk and Oil to most. Easy as pie!
Not only are our products completely plant based, but we use only Unrefined Organic Evaporated Cane Juice as a sweetener which is 100% vegan and no animals were harmed in the making of our products. We never test on animals (unless our pooch is begging for some!) and we use Non-GMO ingredients which are great for the planet and great for your body.
"Why Vegan?" you might ask? Chef Veronica Rains, co-founder of Wholesome Chow, has been a vegetarian for over 22 years, since the age of 9, and is an avid believer in healthy living through a plant-based diet. More importantly, using animal-free ingredients is better for the planet and better for our fellow animal friends. And, vegan baking just tastes healthier, cleaner and more delicious. So, maybe the better question to ask is, "Why Not Vegan?"
How is vegan baking different that traditional baking?
Vegan Baking replaces common baking ingredients, such as eggs, dairy and cream-based butter with plant-based alternatives, such as Soy or Almond Milk and Non-Dairy Butter.
Is it difficult to make your products?
On the contrary, no! Making Wholesome Chow's Organic Gluten Free & Vegan Baking Mixes is EASIER than making traditional baking mixes. Simply add Non-Dairy Milk and Oil, Mix, Bake, and Serve! You can have a moist, decadent and delicious cake in the oven in less than 10 minutes.
